Timothee Chalamet says he has heard hours of unreleased Bob Dylan music ahead of the beginning of production on a biopic on the music legend.
Chalamet is playing Dylan in the upcoming biopic, titled, Complete Unknown.
Dylan’s longtime manager and the film’s producer Jeff Rosen gave Chalamet access to unreleased Dylan songs. The 12-hour playlist included music recorded during 1959-1964.
“This might earn the ire and wrath of a lot of Bob fans, rightfully,” Chalamet said in an interview with Happy Sad Confused‘s Josh Horowitz. “But he sent me like a 12-hour playlist of unreleased Bob stuff from like 1959 to ’64. I feel like I’m holding onto gold or something.”
The cast for Complete Unknown also include Benedict Cumberbatch, Monica Barbaro, Elle Fanning and Woody Guthrie.
The Searchlight Pictures movie, directed by James Mangold, is scheduled to begin production in August 2024.
