Madonna has postponed her “Celebration” world tour after being hospitalized in intensive care due to a bacterial infection.

A statement from Madonna’s manager Guy Osears reads, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”

“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour,” he continued. “We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

The Queen of Pop was set to embark on a huge 40th-anniversary “Celebration” tour next month, which would have kicked off in Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 15. Other stops in North America included New York, Chicago, Miami, Washington, Houston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and other cities up until early October, when the dates hit London and various cities in Europe.

According to Page Six, the 64-year-old singer was rushed to a New York City hospital after being found unresponsive Saturday and was intubated overnight but is now out of the ICU.
