    The V.F.W. is asking for help in putting up the flags both small and large for the Memorial Day services. The small flags will be put up Saturday, May 24th at 8 a.m. in Memory Gardens, Mount Calvary, and Oakhill Cemeterys. Make it a family project on Monday, May 26 at 7 a.m. at the Oakhill Cemetery as the large flags will be put up. The large flags are alternated each year. The program is at 11 a.m. at Oakhill that day. Then at 4 p.m. we will go out and take down all flags from all cemetarys and put them away.

Cherokee Knights of Columbus officers meeting first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at K.C. Hall.

Family/Kids Game Night at The Library every Wednesday  from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Sit & Stitch every Monday afternoon at the Library at 1:00 p.m.

Preschool Story Time every Tuesday  from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the Cherokee Public Library.

Home Schoolers at the Library will be on Wednesdays from 2-3:00 p.m.

After School Bunch will have their meetings at the Library on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.

Youth in Action/4H will meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday at the Library at 3:45.

After School "Good News Club" for all elementary kids will meet on Fridays at the Roosevelt Elementary School from 3:15-4:30 p.m. This will be a fun time of Bible stories, games, songs, snacks and more. If interested have your child pick up a permission slip in the office at Roosevelt. A permission slip is required to attend.

NA Meeting will be every Thursday night from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the
St. Paul Methodist Church in Cherokee.

Read-It Book Discussion Group at the Library will be on Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m.

Terrific Toddlers will meet one Saturday a month at the Library at          10:30 a.m. 1-2-3-4 year olds, accompanied by a responsible person will meet for stories, puppetry, finger plays, flannel board stories, a simple craft, a snack and lots of fun!

Bingo at the Holstein Legion Hall every Tuesday evening at 7:00.

Kiwanis meets every Tuesday at Noon at Danny's Sports Spot.

Cherokee Aviation Authority meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the airport.

Quimby Lions Club Paper Drive in Quimby and Washta is every 2nd Tuesday of the month. Have papers ready by 9:00 a.m.

The Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will meet the 2nd Friday of each month. The meetings will be held at noon in the Education Room next to the cafeteria. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Sioux City two time per month.  1st and 3rd Fridays.  Leave Cherokee around 8 am and leave Sioux City mall at 3 pm.  $6 round trip fee.  Add $.50 for each extra stop.  Need at least 24 hour notice.

Aurelia every Friday.  $5 round trip fee to Cherokee and back. Need at least 24 hour notice.

Larrabee every Friday.  $5 round trip fee. Need at least 24 hour notice.
